Hilton Tokyo Ballroom Renovation: A Mix of Modern Tech and Design

Hilton Tokyo, located in Shinjuku, is making big changes to stay Japan’s top spot for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE). The Kiku Ballroom, the main part of the renovation, will reopen in October 2025, with new technology and a fresh design.
Big Tech Upgrade: Japan’s Largest Curved LED Wall
One of the biggest updates in the ballroom is a large 15.1-meter wide curved LED wall. It’s the biggest of its kind in any hotel ballroom in Japan. Created by Vega Project K.K. and powered by Barco, the wall provides clear visuals, perfect for hybrid events and live streaming. It’s designed to keep up with the latest technology, so it will last for years to come.
Smart Sound System
The ballroom also features a powerful sound system with 165 speakers placed around the room. It ensures clear, high-quality sound. The system is easy to control with a touchscreen panel. Wireless microphones and Bluetooth help the space work for all kinds of events.
Design Inspired by Shinjuku’s Traditions
The design of the ballroom mixes Shinjuku’s history of printing and indigo dyeing with a modern style. Designers at Hirsch Bedner Associates used indigo, earthy tones, and gold accents to create a space that is both traditional and modern. It’s perfect for both cultural and business events.
Flexible and Easy to Use
The Kiku Ballroom is flexible and can now be divided into four sections for different event sizes. It’s easy to get around, with elevators that connect the ballroom to the hotel’s rooms, lobby, and parking.
Sustainability Focus
Hilton cares about sustainability, and it shows in the new ballroom. The venue meets environmental standards, and guests can opt for carbon offset programs, making it easier to host eco-friendly events.
Looking Ahead
With its new features, the Kiku Ballroom will make Hilton Tokyo the top destination for MICE events in Japan. Combining new technology, beautiful design, and respect for local culture, it will meet the needs of event organizers and attendees. This renovation shows Hilton’s commitment to creating spaces that are both stunning and functional.
